truth be told, i wasnt exactly looking too forward to this year's chinese new year. in fact i almost wished it didnt come. neither the receiving of angbaos or the wearing of new clothes or the eating of ba kwa excited me at all; which used to when i was younger. so the day before feb 9th, i havent even decided what i was going to wear.

but im glad i didnt skip it altogether. for chinese new year '05 was better than expected. and by that i dont mean the angbaos because this year the moneys the least that ive ever received in my eighteen years. but this year the company was great, the conversation was great and i had fun (:

i even teared a little, when we visited my grandfather at the nursing home he was in. i dont know what got over me but i always get emotional a tad too easily. im not sure whether it was sadness seeing my grandfather so old and sickly and even slightly senile; or whether it was the show of affection my father displayed towards my grandfather or the whole atmosphere at that place - but i had to walk away from my family so they wouldnt see the tears fall.

i had fun too, at my cousin's new house playing ps 2 with my cousins while my parents sang karaoke.
and then on friday i watched constantine with the school people - grace yu, elissa, alina, shiya, darren, josiah, joseph and paul. me being me, i only stepped out of the house at 1230 when the movie starts at 1245 at bugis la. so i had no choice but to cabbed down to bugis, wasting a freaking 10.30 bucks. damn it man. the cost of my inability to manage my time. hahaa.

constantine was one hella show, i say. gothic, in a way and i like it. you know how gothic is if youre a literature student and its all that. subverts the standard and questions your beliefs. and the way angel gabriel was portrayed was the total opposite of biblical standards la. like some sadistic angel hahaa. but my faiths not gonna be toppled just cos of one show la. on a sidenote, keanu reeves is hothothot (:

went swimming today at andrews condo by myself and i absolutely love the sun. i get tan easily and i only swam for about half an hour but the tan lines were quite visible already. hehs. after that i went to get roses for vday but shit, i realise i should have gotten them tomorrow, really. i hope they dont die on me man.
bought chocs for vday too. gonna give church and school peeps. if youre my friend come get from me ok hahaa (:

so all in all chinese new year was good. although the angbao money ive collected is the least so far, its okay, really. i just thank God for family and friends.

anyway ive discovered this site to download music. actually kai ying was telling me this other site but it kind of led me to discover this instead. and so for the first time im actually downloading music since you had to pay at audiogalaxy. hehs. oops, illegal you say? sshh (:

this whole week had been slacking defined laa. i didnt touch a single shit of homework at all. what to do - with chinese new year and vday so close to each other?? hahaa okok. im gonna start catching up tomorrow. or maybe monday. lols.
